Did you try turning it off and on again?

I love how in the promotional video they're using the pick like an inch away from everything, but it's picking one particular string without affecting the others. Wouldn't the other strings be picked a little bit by it? It couldn't possible by that specific.

In the promotional videos, I"m not even sure what this is meant to do, compared to a traditional pick. Just pick the strings you want to play, with a pick!

The video does brag of "infinite sustain". Maybe that's the appeal. I mean, it doesn't _do_ that, and also there's no reason to want that anyway. Just play the guitar. If you want infinite sustain, find a MIDI thing for that.

What a mess.

The only use for a magnet pic is to make it easier to get out when you drop it in an acoustic

I think people who believed in this product thought it would be something similar to an e-bow. I guess they don't understand that an e-bow is not just a magnet, but an electro-magnet that switches on and off hundreds of times a second. If you just use a permanent magnet, nothing will happen.

Should be a lawsuit for all customers to be refunded.... Thats fcking crazy... 😆

The E-bow already exists, why would you make this?

Good thing it doesn’t work… if it was a high powered magnet, you’d run the risk of demagnetizing your pickups. (Alnico, and when the pole pieces are the magnets…. A magnet at the bottom of the pickup is likely safe.)

Well another thing that should be thought about when using magnets and metal strings, is the fact that any movement around the strings or fretboard from the pick would result in all of the strings being affected.
Meaning you wouldn't be able to play individual notes you'd only be able to do chords and doing something like a C or d, even d minor would be really difficult considering you're not supposed to hit all six strings on those chords.

Australian consumer law would have a field day with legislation on this if this was sold in Australia

Per the MinutePhysics video on this, they're tap playing and using this to affect the sound of the strings after they're already ringing. Because the core of the strings are ferromagnetic, they're slightly affected by a passing magnetic field.

Have you tried turning it off and on again

I feel like the no touch strumming thing could work if it was much stronger. It would need to be like neodymium alloy strong though which I feel like would be hard to hold anywhere near the pickups without losing it to the same affect. Unless you like white knuckling your picks and hand cramps.

Ok at least you can feasibly still use it as a pick. The worst guitar gadgets are the gadgets that are supposed to stretch your fingers so you can extend your range and flexibility. Those will only damage your hands

I've tried to use a pick before and it never felt right so i never used a pick again

I bought a bunch of jewelry (rings & some bracelets) made out of "sound conductive" material, I put it all on my right hand so whenever I would play I hoped it would atleast bounce back a bit, and I'm not sure it worked too well, could you test it?

I love how the "infinite sustain" sounds exactly like my guitar when left sitting next to the amp with the gain turned up 😂
