In about the eighth grade I had created a Pokemon region whose whole gimmick would've been special stones that *change a Pokemon's type* by using *time travel* to access a Pokemon's *ancient ancestors*...

Needless to say, Game Freak clearly owes 13 year old me hella royalties

I had an idea for a regional Zoroark that looked pretty similar to Hisuian Zoroark. It even had the same color scheme. And this was years before legends Arceus.

For me it was the bug/ice type moth pokemon way before sword and shield were announced xD I remember drawing the designs on my 3DS and naming them Shiverback and Frostbite... Snom and Frostmoth are way better names tho lol

Crazy how many times this has happened! It kind of happened to me with the water bird of my Starter trio as well looking a bit like Quaxly. I released the video and had to add an addendum to it like "I'm sorry, I didn't copy Gamefreak's homework, I promise"

Back in April last year I made a regional bird that has 3 different color forms and it was basically the same thing as Squawkabilly, which makes me like the real Pokemon a lot more than most people would

I forget what I was brainstorming but… I had this random idea of a second Sun/Moon game. In my head I decided on “Ultra” Sun and “Ultra” Moon. This idea was in my head around the *release* of Sun/Moon.

I had a very similar experience with Sword/Shield. When I was in 1st grade I made a Pokémon I called Inchburn, and it was an inch worm that breathed fire.
Fast forward to 7 years later, Sizilipede.

I had the idea of a zone that was the past version of the main region of the first game, with prehistoric versions of pokemon being called cretalin versions, like alolan, and it was called the cretala region, like cretacious. I actually thought it out, and for the final boss a mew would get corrupted by a type of tar that turns pokemon into evil poison type versions, making a cretalin mewtwo. I legitimately thought this was the coolest.

I remember as a kid suddenly looking at my brother thinking of the game names and saying "ruby/sapphire, black/white, fire/leaf i swear theyll make "sun and moon" eventually".
