THIS!! THIS IS WHAT IT WAS!! The washed out colors were driving me insane, and I hated how I always had to tune up the emission! THANK YOU!!

Mine was even worse, it was at "AgX", everything was muted. Spend hours tweaking the materials and lights, turns out it's this color management setting. Thank you!

i spent like seven hours trying to find out why my colours kept getting super muted as soon as i looked at my model from anything but the 'flat' settings. thought it was a shader issue. thank you SO MUCH any more of that and i might've gone crazy. holy shit

Thanks for this. Blender's current default view transform is AgX, but it causes the same problem.

THANK YOU!! THAT WAS IT!! I had been away from Blender for many months and when I returned and updated, nothing looked right. You saved my project, or at the very least, a lot of time. Thank you!!

filmic was designed for a high dynamic range which is why it looks washed out so you can just increase the contrast under the look instead

This helped partially thanks. Been trying to teach myself Blender off and on and one thing I always struggled with was bad lighting and washed out colors.

Thanks for this, working with some NPR models using cell shading and all my colours looked really desaturated and couldn't work out what I was doing wrong.

This simple fix solved it!

I dont care that this video came out 3 years ago, I'm working with grease pencil objects in 4.0.2 and it has "View Transform "it set to something called "agx" in the eevee renderer. Setting it to "standard" fixed my problem. A hint of my sanity has come back thanks you

For some reason my view transform was set to AgX which is so washed out. Thank you so much for this!

Thank you!! I just started experimenting with Blender a few days ago, and kept thinking, 'is this the best Blender can do, these colors are washed out, and really kind of terrible?!'
