The diagnosis of Measles is majorly clinical but in order to maintain a record a laboratory confirmation is essential. The main tests are - Serum Anti-Measles IgM, Measles RNA, and CBC. Chest radiography may be suggested in case of respiratory complaints.
The treatment for Measles is mainly supportive using antipyretics, fluids, humidification, Vitamin A dosage, and lotion in case the rashes are severe.
