He Is Back! | Closet Makeover
Today is finally the day he is back! We do a fun closet makeover and then go pick up Isaac from the vet. Everyone is so excited that he is back!

Oh my, what a sweet homecoming for your boy. I don't often shed tears about most things, but seeing how happy Issac looked when he got home around all his humans, really was special and brought a tear to my eyes.

@crazypieces, if Isaac is not eating as much try Hills prescription diet urgent care a/d with chicken wet food. It is meant to give your dog the protein and nutrients that he is missing from his lack of other food. It also helps make them want their normal food. It is not to be given by itself but rather a half can mixed in with the normal food if your dog is still eating but not the normal amount. It is seriously a miracle worker when it comes to helping get your dogs appetite back to normal. Even though is says prescription diet you do not need a prescription for it. Also, if Isaac does not start to gain feeling in his back legs/toes, try water therapy. Water therapy helps animals when there seems to be no other hope for rehabilitation. The next best thing would be a wheel chair with back wheel or a scoot bag with wheels in the back. Praying for Isaac to make a full recovery.

I cried like ugly tears when he came home dogs always get me. It doesn't mean he can't live a good life if he doesn't regain the sensation they make all kinds of crazy different types of dog wheelchairs now. And bless Isaac's looks that he was adopted by a family who has the ability to do the best for him medically that they can. It's also a great example to show other people what pet ownership actually means. I hope all the kids are doing well and sweet little Isaac decides now that he's with the people he lives with and where he belongs and not scared because people very much underestimate how scary the vet's office or like an animal shelter is for an animal especially dogs who have super hearing in buildings that are very loud. Sometimes it takes getting home with the people that love them and cuddle them for them to have the desire to try.

So glad you are able to bring Isaac home. Being around those he loves will do wonders for his mental health if nothing else. Dont give up on him even after the 2 week marker, every animal is different and recovers in a different time period. One of my cats Charlie had 2 strokes that he recovered from. He was paralysed but I was lucky to be able to be there and play nurse when most would have given up. He lived about 3 years after the first stroke and died a good age. It took him a good 6 months to get rid of all the symptoms after the first stroke, He was a fighter and definitely not ready to give up. You will know if/when the time comes Isaac will tell you. In the mean time love on him as I know you will and even if he does end up with wheels to help him get around I'm sure he'll do great

I can not get over how happy Isaac looked when he was going home. He missed you all, and it’s definitely going to lift his spirits. I’m so sorry that happened on Christmas of all days. He does seem good and happy. Even if he doesn’t regain mobility in his hind legs, they have lots of cool things to help him get around. I know him being with you all is the best medicine possible. I’m just glad he’s okay, and smiling. 🐶 Halie, Jake, and Logan looked so happy, I bet this has been tough on Halie and Jake the most, but all of the kids.

I praise the Lord that you guys have the resources to afford the best care for Isaac. The worst thing is to see a loved one, humans included suffer due to a lack of financial means. I’m inspired to drop off a little money at our local vet to help pet owners who can’t afford care. This fund helped me in the past and gave me another 8 years with my sweet little Mylo.

I’m teary eyed seeing how happy Isaac seemed to be just being home with family again and how happy the kids are too! Poor little guy, prayers he continues to make progress and is able to walk, run and play again in the near future.
