Introvert ≠ Shy: Clearing the Confusion

Let’s clear something up: being an introvert and being shy are NOT the same thing. Introverts? We’re not scared to talk—we just don’t like the fluff. Small talk? Nah. Pointless conversations? Hard pass. Shy people, though, operate differently. It’s about fear: fear of judgment, fear of saying the wrong thing, and low self-esteem often plays a role.

For the longest time, I thought I was shy. Turns out, I’m just an introvert, and that’s okay. If you’re the same, don’t let anyone tell you there’s something wrong with you. We just socialize on our own terms. The people who matter? They’ll love you for who you are—introversion and all.

YES! I say this all the time..When I tell people I'm an introvert, They don't believe me. Being ABLE to talk to people doesn't make me an extrovert. It just makes me tired at the end of the day from all the social interaction

I just ranted about this today 😭 and then they throw social anxiety in there like bro NO!! Introversion is not something that needs fixing
