Today’s video is all about isotonic, hypotonic, & hypertonic IV fluids for Nursing Students and NCLEX Review.

As a nurse, you’ll administer several types of fluids to patients to help rebalance their own bodies. These fluids can be isotonic (the same concentration as the fluid in the blood), hypotonic (lower concentration than blood), or hypertonic (higher concentration than blood).

Check out our video to help memorize which of these kinds of fluids you need to administer on a patient-to-patient basis.

Thank you nurse Mike! I was confused between hypotonic and hypertonic, but you explained it very well. I got an exam tomorrow, and this is really helpful! ❤

This is a great video but I couldn't find this specific one within my subscription for simple nursing. Also it would be awesome if yall made more videos for nursing fundamentals. There aren't too many of those within my subscription to SN and it would be so helpful! Anyway great video and ty guys for the awesome and helpful content!!
