I absolutely love this recipe! My mom always complains that I could do the same thing and save myself 50 minutes if I cook it in the microwave, but I think the outcome is worth the extra time & effort.

Noooo !!! He used olive oil....not canola oil, which is high in Omega 6 AND is processed by using chemical solvents. Olive oil is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, making it a better choice for reducing the risk of chronic diseases.

a baked potato won't explode if you don't poke holes in it, that's just misinformation; the holes allow moisture to vent so you can get that ideal fluffy texture.

"has a very specific way of opening the potato" um, thats just the way to do it. It isn't a secret to open with a fork and push the edges together

How many folks are gonna do that with one potato?? Just cut a long X in the top and zap it in the micro.
