This is the first of 8 videos using the new Starter Decks.
Chad goes over the mechanics of the new Dwarf starter deck. He also takes extra time during the first round to explain the basic rules of this game, especially Action Windows.
Be sure to watch the introduction if you are interested in getting accessories like you can see being used in this video.

This is really well done; so many teaching run through videos speed through the card images, making them difficult to follow. Thanks for making these!

This was so helpful! I was wondering why the intro scenario was so hard, we were putting the monsters back in the threat area after combat!

What a great video, especially for new players! I can't think of a better video out there for people new to the game. Great job as always Chad!

Awesome video y'all put so much effort and attention to detail in all the videos you make. You can tell it's a labour of love. Keep up the fantastic work!

So, I learned something in the first 32 minutes ! Exactly, what I thought will happen. You don't activate doomed and surge keywords when you "add" a card in the staging area. So important ! Thanks for that remarquable video Chad !

Thanks so much for this video Chad. I am trying to bring some friends into the game and this playthrough is done at a speed they will appreciate. As a more seasoned campaigner I also picked up tips and realised that I was playing a rule incorrectly by not declaring all questors at the same time. So very helpful all round.

Really looking foward for the next videos, specially regarding the other 3 decks (since the dwarves one is the one I have most of the cards already).

I’m just getting into the game with the revised core set and the starter decks. This video was so helpful. By far the best instructional playthrough I have seen. Thank you very much for making these!

Great video! Did you end up doing a deck building video for the dwarf starter pack?

Hello, thank you for this series. Is there a cardlist of the starterdecks? The list in "Hall of Beorn" contains 82 Cards. But i read that the deck has 50+3 cards, what would make sence.

Well done Chad, great video, I'm excited to see what you do with the rest of this series!

It would have been better for you to move the lower King Under the Mountain back in to your deck using the first Ered Nimrais Prospector, since you always have the ability to move the top attachment into your hand if you drew another Erebor Hammersmith. It seems like King Under the Mountain would be a better top attachment than Healing Herbs in this deck.

Commenting before really watching.
Where did the cards from these starter decks come from in relation to the original core set, expansions etc?

Great video! You got a new subscriber🎉 Of the four new starter decks, which one do you think is the best allround deck?

I was bored the other day so dug around in my board game closet. I forgot how much of this game I have! I have 3 core sets as well as the first 2 cycles and the black riders saga.
I'm super tempted to pick up each of these starter decks and jumping back into the game...though I had a TON of fun years ago when I played doing it as a progression thing. Where I'd only add the new cards from the sets as I played them.
I'm afraid these decks would ruin a bit of that for me.
Thoughts?
