GoPro Hero 8 destroys iPhone 11 Pro

The GoPro Hero 8 destroys the iPhone 11 Pro when it comes to stabilization. Cinematic stabilization is incredible in the iPhone 11 Pro but it's no match for the boost mode in Hypersmooth 2.0 on the GoPro Hero 8 Black. Especially when it comes to fast moving action, as you can see for yourself in this video.

The cinematic stabilization in the iPhone 11 Pro is incredible provided you're not moving too quickly. It's almost like the iPhone 11 Pro is on a gimbal. However, once you start moving quickly the stabilization struggles to keep your video smooth while the GoPro Hero 8 looks like it's on a dolly, no matter what movement you're doing.

Lots of this video was shot on very uneven ground and the Hero 8 just soaked up every bump, lump and jump. It really is amazing to see what GoPro have doing with it's electronic image stabilization!

I disagree The IPhone 11pro as far as color beats the GoPro 8 by far either way wide or linear.

Gopro 8 is cool and all but the iPhone destroys gopro in lowlight. I hope they focus on lowlight for the next gopro

I have to tell you Vic this is not a great comparison. Two totally different type of cameras 😂 one action and the other is not? Apple never represented the iPhone as an action camera smartphone. The image stabilization on the phone was not designed for rapid running movement. But if you add a gimbal into the mix it changes quit a bit not perfect but it does change. Let's see the Hero 8 multitask and make phone calls and hold conference calls on the fly...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍👍
