In 2018, good samaritans rushed to the aid of Nicole Elkabbas, donating more than £45,000 for life-saving treatment for ovarian cancer. But little did they know, they were actually being conned, with the money being used on gambling and luxury holidays instead. Having been sentenced to 33 months in prison this week, we’re joined by one of Nicole’s victims and former friend Jo Mapp, alongside forensic psychologist, Dr Keri Nixon.

I’m being as respectful as I can, as a big grown-up, not disrespectful and abusing people for their money and Seinna have cancer not stealing peoples things and blaming somebody else I’m not abusive. I nearly got taken in myself feel sorry for her, but you know the only way people going to realise that she needs to go back home and get help so that is being with it being respectful as I’m going to say she is wonderful and oh my goodness and she said no no no I’m not going to do that at all, so wipe it off if you want to love me
