Best Phones Of 2024, So Far | Gaming, Camera, Foldable & More!

The Spurty Awards for the best smartphones of 2024 are back, rewarding the top phones for camera tech, gaming abilities, value for money etc so far. Here's my favourite UK mobiles including the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Honor Magic 6 Pro and Huawei Pura 70 Ultra. Plus more budget friendly smartphones, if you're not absolutely minted.

We kick off with the best phones for those on a budget, including the greatest mid-range devices in 2024. The likes of Google's Pixel 8a, the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G, Nothing Phone 2a, Poco F6 & F6 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus have all impressed so far this year, offering stunning value for money.

A tough one to judge, as is the award for best camera smartphone. Xiaomi, Honor, OnePlus, Huawei and Samsung have all spaffed out some excellent mobile shooters in 2024, for top quality pics, family snaps etc.

We also reveal the best gaming phone, foldable and 'compact' devices of the year so far. According to some bald Northern git. Let us know your own favourites down below!

Glad that you didn't just say the plain boring S24 Ultra or iPhone 15 pro max. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is indeed one of the best phones out there and only perhaps a bit weak in the battery life area. Great video nevertheless!

One of the best British thing I've watched so far, resembling much of that insanely funny Diana Morgan. I found that the bloody curses and elaborated trash talking are deeply insulting but rather refreshing and pleasing to my ears at the same time. Just ordered a Xiaomi 14 12GB/512GB to replace my iPhone 15 Pro. It may seem a little odd to some however I’ve been waiting for a compact flagship that isn’t a compromised spec. The S24 would have been a good choice however I do not want another exynos.

iPhone 15 Pro has issues with overheating, the Ceramic Shield marks super easy and iOS is very buggy. Also, the fact you cannot even change the vibrancy of the display is very frustrating. Also the major lens flare issues ruin most shots 💀

Props off to Xiaomi, let’s hope I don’t have the lens fogging issue
