2017 FIAT 124 Spider Lusso Review - AutoNation

FIAT is back with a new convertible called the 124 Spider. In this review we take a look at the Lusso edition, which starts at less than $30,000.

The 2017 FIAT 124 Spider Lusso is a small and sporty roadster with two seats and high hopes to compete with Mazda's Miata. The FIAT 124 Spider is based on the Miata chassis, but combines Japanese engineering with Italian good looks.

The interior is home to leather surfaces, the perfect driving position, and a center screen with a useful infotainment system including a rearview camera. The pop-top mechanism is one of the best on the market, making it easy to combat changing weather.

I've previously had two MX5s and two Porsche Boxsters and this 124 is the best car I've ever driven. I deliberately got the Fiat 124 and updated it to Abarth spec. This was because I preferred the looks of the normal Fiat. Get the 124 and stick a quad exhaust on it. Amazing car, that's been bullet-proof reliable in 18 months ownership. The prices for these are already going up. They are classics already.

The Abarth edition is awesome ! I have had mine over a month my wife and I LOVE it.

It's a great car. Like it much more than my old Miata.
