There’s actually a story of a guy who lost his vocal chords on a horrible accident due to this and had to have a robotic voice for a long time until he got a vocal chord transplant (it was also the first vocal chord transplant ever)

This actually happened at my local trail. Some guy was just MTBing and got caught in one of these booby traps. Basically he is now paralyzed from the neck down and he pressed charges. I don't know what happened to the guy who set up this trap tho.

They used to do this in ww2. Drivers would often attach a pole to the front of their jeeps to snap these wires.

Anyone who sets up something like this has shown that they have no regard for human life; they should be locked up. If you don't want people on your property, then put up a damn fence like the rest of us normal people.

One time when I was riding my dirtbike on a trail in the woods someone covered one of those things the police use to pop tires and covered it up with leaves and dirt and I had to replace my tires because of it

There was a kid in my school who died to this, and he was very well known for his passion for dirt biking. Sadly though there was one of these set up on a public mountain biking trail and he ended up getting serious cuts to the throat and bleed out. What’s even worse was that it was completely legal and not at Al wrong for him to be biking there since it was a trail meant for dirt bikers and mountain bikers.
