In case a lot of people did not know, this street used to be part of Chinatown as there used to be a lot of Chinese stores before they all moved out due to increasing rent prices. This particular location used to be a Chinese church many years ago.

There is also the Alliance Francaise up on Park & 60th Street. That area (Upper East Side) has a marvelous European feel.

Reminds me of Smith St in Carroll Gardens when they’d celebrate Bastille Day with baguettes & sandboxes.

I went to NYU and my dorm was on the corner right there on Broome. That neighborhood already has a name— it’s called SoHo.

Yes this is what everyone wants to see: make a gentrified neighborhood even more elitist

I’m not sure we should be celebrating the ongoing displacement of the Chinese community in the name of some cool and trendy self proclaimed it - “neighbourhood” …

Three words: Montreal. Also, not complete without accordion music playing! 🤣

Very cool! Just a few blocks away there is a Ladurée and there used to be a Repetto next door. I always hoped that this area would turn into Little Paris. Bravo!

"You can look but you can't touch." "You can run but you can't hide." French original phrases are so cultured but so viel.

Why Little Paris and not little France?
It’s Little Italy not Little Rome and Chinatown, not Shanghaitown

I really enjoy the French language/culture but I think this missed the mark.

I can’t clearly understand the reporter stubbles over her words. Brooklyn near Cobble-hill has a French community they raised their kids to maintain the French accent.
