We talk about round and square nail bases and the best techniques for painting them with different shaped brushes. Thank you for this! I've been DIY'ing my own nails since I was a kid, but still it takes hours and multiple do-overs to get a smooth coat and not flood the cuticles. But, after your short video, I just did a perfect application of my sheer pink, and it turned out smooth and the cuticle area is even and not flooded!!! First try! Thank you, this is amazing and you make it so easy!

Thank you for doing a video, well a trilogy really, on this. I really can’t do my nails at all, they are naturally dry and despite a healthy diet, I think it’s my epilepsy tablets which causes an issue. I always did the edge as a final step and the base really was difficult and I have different base shapes. Do you have any favourite products?

My thumbs are square and my fingers are rounds at the base.

Holding the brush flat to my fingers will result in nail polish all over the end of my finger, since I cut (not bite!) my fingernails very, very short -- as short as possible. I use a "ski jump" technique instead.

I agree with previous comments, best tutorials! But to answer your question; yep, I have both square and round shapes. I also have both flat and ...uhm... "not flat" nail plates. Apparently a manicurists worst nightmare 😁
