Thank you for this helpful tutorial. Out of Some of my lessons I’ve had over the years no one has ever showed me the technique of playing a chromatic scale. This is an amazing tutorial. Thank you again Jazer Lee.

Love it! Very nice teacher. Thank You so much. I've never played piano before, but now I can play Chromatic Scales without any prior experience. Amazing. You inspired me. At the age of 63 I got enrolled in Piano Class for the beginners at our local State Fair Community College in Sedalia, MO. It's better late than never.

I can't believe you don't have more subscribers. I've watched a lot of piano tutorials on You Tube for the past year or so, and yours are the best I've found.

You are the best piano student online! I will have to learn your method of playing the Chromatic scales. You got me hooked on those Hanon exercises to the point I can't stop playing them--lol.

I like how your right 2nd (index) finger "backs up" your right 3rd finger when it doesn't have anything else to do. Shows real cooperation among fingers, and a good attitude in general

I read ahead in my book and the chromatic scales looked so intimidating on paper for a newbie like myself, but after watching you, I am not nearly as nervous. Thank you for this video.

Ok, now I know, this is for beginners, but playing chromatic scales can be done in quite a variety, depending on the requirements of the piece. Good example is the Chopin etude op.10 n.3, where one uses the fingers 345 for the chromatic scale, while playing the melody with the same hand that plays the chromatic scale. Also, it is possible to use a faster fingering when going for speed, going 123, 1234, 12345 from e. Or when playing 2 chromatic scales with 1 hand, one for example uses 1, 2 for the first and 3, 4, 5 for the other.

I have been wondering how to play chromatic scales on the piano. This not only answered my questions but I love the bonus 3rds and 6ths. It sounds like something from an interesting piece of music.

Man. Man. Man.
Good Golly……
I’ve been trying to figure out this trick for years…..
How to fly chromatically up and down the keys….
It’s really handy when I play blues on a piano or my Hammond organ….
Thanks again as always, Jazer!
