Death toll rises to 15 after driver targets Bourbon Street crowd; FBI says suspect didn't act alone

The FBI has identified the suspect who intentionally drove a pickup truck into a crowd of people on Bourbon Street early New Year's Day.

According to the FBI, a man, identified as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar, drove a pickup truck into the crowd around 3:15 a.m. At least 15 people were killed and more than 35 were injured.

After seeing the intelligent precautions taken in Time Square, I wondered how many cities would take similar, effective precautions at their New Year Day celebrations. New Orleans did not. These attacks can occur anywhere, anytime - large gatherings or small.
