Vladimir Putin visited the occupied city of Mariupol on Sunday, his first visit to the city since Russia conquered the city in a bloody siege in 2022.

The Russian president visited the city to highlight the construction of new accommodation blocks built by the Russian occupiers.

The Siege of Mariupol lasted from February to May 2022 and Ukrainian figures estimated that more than 25,000 civilians may have been killed in the fighting.

Mariupol was razed to the ground in every video we've seen on the news. This was probably filmed in a Moscow suburb.
