When doordash sends me a “diamond” high pay order that’s $4.50 for 2.5 miles I just assume the algorithm has been drinking

Everything you said makes total sense however it has nothing to do with the title of the video.

It’s a struggle not being a top dasher in my area, can’t schedule anything! No matter how much you want to work you can’t unless you’re in a really good market zone!

So this is what I realized when I started the first day I started dashing when I got accepted I started at 9 in the morning I didn't stop to 11:30 at night the next day I did the same on the third day I was top Dasher I literally accepted every order because I didn't know better but then I noticed being top Dasher is the higher the pay the longer the Miles and until this day it's still the same if I get a $12 order I'm driving like 10 miles which sucks my point is if you take one day and accept every order even the high mile orders for low money you will be top Dasher and then you can cherry-pick which benefits you later

Yeah they Hella Slow w/Boosting your Acceptance Rate but Quick to drop you a 1% for every declined order

100 rolling orders is what is used to calculate acceptance rate. Rolling meaning your accepts and declines are on a conveyor belt ( a new one replaces the last one). So if you don't see a change it's because you are replacing accepts with accepts. Your declines have 100 spaces to get to the end of the conveyor belt to roll off.

The train that the percentages ate what they are is that they are based on 100 orders. What people don’t realize is that if you decline an order, it takes 100 orders for that decline to come off. So if you decline another order, then within that 100 orders you have taken on 98%, until the declined orders fall off

I am a Top Dasher - it does make a difference in most markets. Especially legacy zones like Seattle, Miami, etc. Also the acceptance rate is based on the last 100 deliveries. It can seem like a struggle, but realistically that woman you mentioned, if she took 17 deliveries that day, 100 deliveries ago, 16/17 of those deliveries were accepted, then it makes sense why she only went up 1%, b/c she's replacing previous accepts, with more accepts instead of replacing previous declines with an accept.

Also to touch on your comment of letting the top dasher take the $3 order... that's just incorrect. Hardly ever does a top dasher even see those orders, because guess what DD sends them the orders you wish you were getting. It's just the facts of it. You might get a $15 going 3 miles and think you got a banger, meanwhile at the same time a top dasher got an $8.75+ going 2 miles, and then afterwards the order becomes $22.50. Happens all the time for 99% of Top Dashers.

Thirdly, before I became a TD, DoorDash would typically give me one order at a time, MAYBE I'd get a stack, but the stars had to align for that to happen. Ever since hitting Top Dasher, it's no question that I'll get a stack. 7/10 orders I accept, stacks me with another great order, or even if it's not "the best" it's not taking me out of my way and is still more money than doing one order at a time. I'd suggest giving it a shot, if it doesn't work then oh well, but if you don't try then you're really just trashing it from being in the dark.

I started with DoorDash back in 12/2016 in the DCMDVA area and then in PHX Metro area in 09/2017 to the present day and what I've learned in all that time is that I find it quite amusing when each content creator thinks they discovered the ultimate perfect algorythm 😊😊 😮😮😅😅 I chuckle to myself at changes and.morphs into something totally different. Elizabeth, I congratulate you on being consistent in doing what you do in your area to get the results you need for the area that you work in. All areas even within a region can and will be different. You are my hero.. You are the "Unsinkable Molly Brown" .

My acceptance rate is 82% but I can’t dash anytime.

Your acceptance rate is based on the last 100 orders that you have been offered, this means for every offer that you except one drops off at the other end, basically 101 offers ago, the one that drops off is what determines if your acceptance rate goes up, down, or stays the same, if a declined order drops off and you accept the new offer, your acceptance rate will go up by 1%, if a accepted order drops off and you decline the new offer, your acceptance rate goes down by 1%, if the one that drops off was accepted and you accept the new offer your acceptance rate will stay the same, if the order that dropped off was declined and you decline the new offer your acceptance rate will stay the same. It sounds more complicated than it is!

You make such a good point. I'm a top dasher due to my high acceptance rate, etc. But I'm wondering if taking some bad orders to keep up your ratings is worth it, when u can schedule ahead anyway. The first priority for DD is to get the order to good customers pronto, even if using a Dasher with a low acceptance rate. This remainder of the week, I will reject bad orders regardless.

One real benefit of Top dasher is that you get to the Help Desk pronto, in those screwy situations.

Depends where you live and how many dashers. My town has zero "chunks of hours" to schedule as you mentioned. Dashers come from other areas believing this area to be good tippers. Even for early access they only drop a couple shifts at 3pm (to get that one day 6 days off) and if you don't have fast fingers at 3pm on the dot, you cant dash at all. You are very lucky if you see any shifts in the schedule where you live.

You’re one of those!😂 where I end up picking up the order and it’s delivered late because it’s been sitting there! 😂

I do the 10 shop and delivers a week to dash now anytime, I make so much more and the miles are much lower

joanneesther

well It does Make sense Because the percentage as far as I'm aware is based of your past 100 orders whether you've accepted or declined so you havve a mass of declined orders in a row then yes your acceptance rate will not increase by a large margine till those Rejected Orders pass the 100th order that you accept/reject

Pockyman

Not sure if anyone has already mentioned this, but if you read the terms closely - it clearly states - you can only decline 1 order a shift without it affecting your % rate. Hope this helps ☺️

I took a $2.50 order but received a tip for $7.00. I am also TopDasher 100% … I get everything but my AR is high to able to dash anytime and still schedule my trips.
