From Animusic 1.4, Drum Machine is a fun piece for advanced percussionists.
Each member will need to learn syncopation, splits, and dynamic contrast. This piece is meant for an advanced percussion ensemble.
Animusic is an animation company founded by Wayne Lytle and David Crognale in the 1990's. The Animusic series currently has 2 official releases, Animusic 1 (1999) and Animusic 2 (2005.). Animusic 3 is possibly in the making, however it is unknown if it will ever be released due to issues within the company and Wayne Lytle.
Instruments needed:
- Snare Drum (from a drumset)
- Bass Drum (mounted on chairs or stands)
- Concert Toms (4)
- Crash Cymbals
- Vibraslap
- Agogo Bells (pair of small Brazilian Samba bells)
- China Cymbal
- Tam-tam
- Timpani (tuned E, G, C, e)
- Cowbell
- Temple blocks (don't use the lowest block)
- Hi-hat
- Tubular Bells
- Marching Tenor Drums
