Just signed up for the 55+ 2 line plan, also got the One Plus option on both lines which is $10.00 per line which adds unlimited HD video, 10GB of 4G tethering (per line, then 3G speeds after 10G), and a couple other upgrades. Total cost: $ 80.00/month. Very happy. to be old right now.

This is a great idea. I'm pretty sure just like the regular T-Mobile One Plan, if they want HD video and faster hotspot they can pay for the One Plus add on every month. But like you said I think most people 55+ wont really care about that.

got 2 lines for $60 mo. finally an advantage to being old. already a customer - took 10 min to change my plan over. good deal. smart move. most older ppl get into a plan & never change - all companies take advantage of that. I saved $2000 on house & cars insurance just by asking. Same with SiriusXm radio, they cut my bill in half when I said it wasn't worth it - T-Mobile ahead of the curve - AGAIN. Watch the other 3 will follow

One dance you might have to do: if you are under 55 but your spouse is over BUT you are the primary account holder, you have to make your qualifying spouse the primary account holder. When I asked them to do this they claimed we'd have to close accounts and get new phone numbers. It took a day to realize that was a bald lie.

I know this because the next day I simply asked if my wife could become the primary account holder. They transferred me to India service twice. Twice because each time they claimed they couldn't hear me. Uh-huh. What they were really trying to do was make me wait TWO YEARS to become 55. In other words -- there was almost $1000 at stake for them.

I finally managed to get them to do it. Then a day later I asked them to switch us to the 55+ plan.

A simple mistake you make in the beginning is you say it's for those "over 55" when it is for people "55 & over", so if you are 55, you can get it also. Additionally, you can add a third line if you want for an additional $20, so that's 3 lines for $80. As for the fella who comments that the video quality is poor, obviously, he/she doesn't have the plan because that just isn't so. I watch videos the time, movies, youtube, etc. The quality is phenomenal, so I have no idea where he's coming from with proposing that the quality is poor. Maybe it is 480p, but I guarantee you, you'll never know & will not have any complaints. Also, as to the degraded services, I have no idea what he might mean. As I stated, I switched from AT&T to TMO for this plan, I have 2 lines, and both work perfectly for me and I cannot tell one difference from AT&T. Additionally, there's no contract commitment, so you can sign up, if you don't like it, just walk away and go back to whoever you want whether it be verizon, at&t, etc. I am pretty sure you will see what I'm saying is true and you will be happy as a lark with TMO! Well, anything but their customer service, which is just as bad as any other customer service centers out there.

Can you have more than two lines? $60 for two, $70 for three, $80 for four? Is that how it works?

Wait until they tell you that you are paying more for less! You're only getting 480p quality for streaming while everyone else is getting 1080p. In order to increase that to the standard, you have to pay more! It's the *dummy* plan. And, wonder of wonders...You lucky Baby Boomers get *3g* hotspot while everyone else gets *4g* !!! Isn't that *special* ??? And that second line is *not* free...You'll be paying for *two* lines with degraded services as noted above! Aren't you so happy that you could just spit??? 😒
