T-Mobile sent notices to thousands of customers, primarily those on older plans, announcing $2 or $5 per-line price increases.

T-Mobile has not published a comprehensive list of which plans and lines are affected, but based on reports we've collected so far, many customers with the following plans/lines of service received notices:

Magenta Plans, including 55+
ONE plans
Simple Choice - both phone and data plans
Wearable lines on various plans, including even new Go5G plans

I thought T-Mobile had this “price lock” thing they were doing. I guess that was false advertising then. I can’t imagine T-Mobile isn’t going to get into a bit of trouble for pulling that stunt.

We also have the Magenta55+ and received the same letter. I too was told in the past that we had a "price lock". We will be calling our law firm to see if it can be stopped. T-Mobile broke their promise. I also asking the firm about a class action law suit. Now that they broke the agreement and raised the price, what's to stop them in the future.

Any thoughts about filing formal complaints with the Federal Consumer Protection Agency?

I’m on a simple choice plan with six lines. Haven’t gotten notified of any price increase. But with a potential $30 price increase this might be what pushes me to finally go prepaid and not worry about data leaks anymore.

I was on the phone for an hour today. They gaslight Seniors! They stare I wasn’t contracted to stay in the plan, there was no contract.
But they contracted to me my plan for two adults 55 and over, unlimited talk text and data plus no taxes or dees, EVER, FOR A LIFETIME. THEY WOULD NEVER INCREAS MY RATE!

"Price lock we will never raise your rates ever only you can" "Can you say class action lawsuit" my account has it in writing from two years ago.

“Price lock! No increases ever” - there is probably either some fine print or legal aspect that lets a company define “not ever” as 5-10 years

Magenta 55+ for our two lines. Have not heard nor received any increase notice to-date. Hopefully it will not affect our account. We switched to T-Mobile because the cell tower was the closest to our home. StraightTalk on Verizon towers was okay, but had a spotty signal. So even if there is an increase, we will likely stay with T-Mobile because other options would degrade our service.

T-Mobile One increased by $5 per voice line. My bill increased by $10.00

Buy the T-Mobile home and take it with you - it is not gps locked. $50/mo flat. Never had it fail yet. Uses 5G too.

My text said $2 per “connected devices.” I have 3 phones and one wearable. I was surprised and disappointed. If I didn’t get a stipend through work for my cellphone bill, I would have switched to mint or some other prepaid plan a while ago. Not seeing any value add that would warrant an increase.

Magenta 55+ user here. I haven't received a price increase notification-yet. We have 2 lines. Turned in our 'home internet' about a month ago, before they announced the gigantic price increase/restrictions on using it on the road. Maybe it's time to look at AT&T.

I was told $2 increase on each line. That would have been $8. It actually increase $5 per line, $20 total. I just switched to ATT. They can suck it
