HOW TO READ MORE IN COLLEGE

Today I wanted to share with you some tips to read more while in college! As a new college student, I've been struggling to find time to read more, but after doing these three things I'm able to read a book a week again!! WHOOT WHOOT!

I found I didn't sleep as well had I not read a short story before going to sleep during college. Short stories were perfect; self-contained so didn't need to recall plot/character long, & helped me switch gears (after working late into the night) so my mind stopped thinking about college work.

I'm the opposite. I always try to get all of my homework and studying done before 6:30pm because I need my nights for hanging out with friends and having fun. I rarely do homework at night so I read at night before bed and it's not tiring to me.

Glad you’re back!! When I was in college, I spent the morning/afternoon reading on weekends and hung out with friends/partied at night. My senior year I was over partying, & my friend lent me The Hunger Games to read. THAT is when I started reading wayyyy more again!

The idea of a dedicated reading day is such a good one. An hour (or couple of hours) of reading in a day, can really help you compensate for the times/days during the week where you weren't reading. Thanks for sharing, it's so timely!

I read my first ebook this week from this app called Overdrive. It helped so much to read more wherever I went since I take my phone everywhere anyway. 😋 Plus it’s free from the library.

I wish I would have watched your video when I was in college! But now I teach classes.

I’m a college student (3rd year) and since I commute 30 minutes back and forth to class I use that as my reading time because I never have time in between cause I use my break to do my school work. So guys if you commute whether on the train or in the car you can use audiobooks

Good point, I do read a bit earlier before class. It's difficult since I can't get to class any earlier than 9: 45 am

This has really helped me! Like I have only read one and a half books this month from starting into college and it's so upsetting😂 I'll definitely read a little bit a day like you said!! I feel like I put too much pressure on myself to read and then not read anything at all🤔
