I work twelve hour days and still read fifty three books last year. My trick is to almost go into a meditative state while reading. Focus on your breathing whilst reading. It will help you block out other distractions.
Set yourself a goal for how much you wish to read each day, and don’t struggle through books that don’t interest you. Persevere for maybe twenty percent, but if the book isn’t lighting a fire inside you, bin it. You don’t want reading to be a chore. Maybe you can come back to it another day, or maybe the book is just not for you.

100 books per year is 2 per week ! That sounds like a lot! and 200 is crazy a lot ! I have set a goal for myself for 20 this year...I am on track so far.

Imagine how many books the average person could read a year if they spent all the time they spent reading nonsense on social media (including this comment) on reading books instead

Rekindled my love for reading last 2018.. This year alone, I managed to read 8 books now since switching to a Kindle. It totally rewired my brain.

Looking forward to watching this. Reading is definitely an art. It’s not as simple as looking at words. We need to absorb their wisdom in order for the application to serve us in our own lives.

My professional life is transitioning so, of course, I began to write a non-fiction and voila! there was a book! I'm making final changes and I really like the content. I was a stoic and didn't know it! Thanks, Ryan, for all you do.

I read 50 books a day- but at one page minimum each; it stimulates my memory and imagination when I surmise wht may happen next. I read books in French Spanish and English. definitly soften solitude, put facts and people in my mind. People often compliment me on my culture and knowledge - I told them read and read more- there is no magic. Still I feel there is so much to know. I read in the mornings, during my meals and in the evenings. Life is beautiful.

Make time to read. If you don't do this, you won't.

Don't focus on number of pages. Read at a pace where you can you truly absorb the material.

Take notes. It'll slow you down. So what. If you don't take notes, you are only reading for entertainment. I do notecards as well, but notes in a composition book is a fantastic start.

Don't read only light books. Don't read only heavy books. Read widely. Read outside your immediate interests. Nonfiction educates you; fiction expands your mind, your vision. Read poetry. Really.

Great video on The Why of reading. And some good pointers on reading more rigorously.
