Volvo cars are beautiful and luxurious. I would buy one if not for two factors: (1) Volvo is owned by a Chinese company (Geely Holdings); and (2) Volvo restricts it's top speed to 113 mph. (Before you east-coasters comment that 113 is fast enough, you need to know something: I live in a Western Plains state. I don't want to have a speed limitation when I'm passing a group of 9 cars being led by one New Jersey RV going 15 under. I have a job to do. Oh, and by the way, in my state and many others in this region, if you have 5 cars behind you on a two-lane highway, you are required to pull off the roadway and let them pass. Most don't of course. "Speed kills" afterall. Me - 600, 000 mi with zero accidents. 5-15 over everywhere. My state has 70 mph two-lanes and 80 mph four-lanes. Maybe learn how to drive before wasting mine and others time by driving slow).

The best cars EVER!!!!

My family has owned 3 Volvo Wagons and I just bought a 4th.

It all started with a 1984 260 GLE Wagon with Electric Windows, air conditioning, and heated front seats before upgrading to the 1990 760 Turbo Wagon. Then in 1998 we got the all new state of the art Volvo V70XC Cross Country All Wheel Drive Wagon, and now I just bought a brand new state of the art 2020 V60 Cross Country All Wheel Drive Wagon Wagon.

All 3 of the old wagons were all involved in accidents, and no one was hurt in any of them, they always got us from A to B, and if any of them broke down, it was always at our house or the repair shop, meaning they never let us down.

Their fuel mileage was superior to almost anything else out on the road, they were fast and powerful, and always beautiful to look at.

We were always thrilled with our Volvos and held onto them for VERY long times, and now the new 2020 V60 Cross Country carries the legacy of the old classics.
One thing is for sure, I am sticking with Volvo, and have no intention of ever switching car brands. Volvo for life. :)

I didn't like the Ford influence on Volvo at all, although they produced some cracking engines on them..
