There needs to be a paper receipt and a secure independent verification system, if an election is questioned, there is a paper trail. It would be a pain, but better than this mess. Computerized systems are great but not secure, as we can see!

Clearly, a trillion dollars a year for "defense of the Homeland", isn't nearly enough.

This is a wise move. Make sure russian actors don't interfere this time! I have analyzed the geopolitical situation and came to the final conclusion that Putin's strategic goal in America is to keep Trump in power as long as possible. So the Russians will try to boost Trump, they will try... Liberal Democrats must know this and we must be prepared to counter this!

To seek electoral intervention in a country by an other has many reasons: one of to create internal unreasolvable conflicts and trust issues for the elected or the not elected. Both causing the example effect on the present polarised unfocused and uncertain situation in the United States. What is too good for some but very bad for more; in economics and financing depend on the source of the "money" from where the few get it and where the others cannot; to grow in profitability.
To elected a party or a leader against the will of the voters more difficult but in history did happend before; without big system of electronics but by corrupt election officers and attendees. What the USA is a watchdog for all over the word to "approve and legitimize" elected government where they send the "human rights observers" to practice the Democratic rights to have the government appointed by the people of the country whom the taxpayers fund the further cost of the out come of that elections.
In the reason to rig that spending capacity is a key in and by whom forming the government what could give a thousand reason to hack the will of "the suckers and they have to pay anyway" within the credit ceiling and "other" budget aspects of the elected as given authority by the voter's processes to do so "on their behalf". What isn't the case many times; but goes back the well-connected "internationally positioned "powerhouses" and their affiliates of the elites of top "voters". In reality the stake holders of the country's economy and tax-spending on government "projects and dues".
