How to LOAD CUSTOM RUST MAPS | Rust Admin Academy | Rust Tutorial 2020

Using Rust Edit, you can create amazing islands that you can then load into your Rust Server and actually play on.
It's an incredible way to create something different that your loyal players have never seen before. No two islands are exactly the same and you can get so crazy with the different things you can do.
Now that I've sold Rust Edit, you'll need to learn how to actually link your custom built map, to your server so that it comes to life.
This video covers every details involved with that.

Just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU! As a server owner since Rust's
inception on browser I sometimes take breaks and upon returning I find
myself lost. These videos are not only great for beginning admins but
Vet's like myself as well.
I'd like to take a moment to extend on this for Dropbox users. When uploading a map, after you have saved a link copy you will notice something at the end of the .Map file that looks like this .Map?DL=0 you will need that ending string but you will need to change it to 1 in order for the map to be read. FYI

dont forget if you host the map from places like drop box or similar you need to change the dl=0 on the end of the link to dl=1

Hi, thx for a good tutorial video! I am running my Rust server on my Qnap NAS using Docker. Works great! But... how do I use a custom map in this setup? Im using the latest Didstopia

Update on custom map. Been using rust edit to make a map. So far so good. About got it ready for wipe day. I’m after a certain type of layout and look. Just letting you know all your help is much appreciated. I will let you know the server connection info later so you can go look at it on wipe day. Right now it’s on my test server

Btw you don’t have to remove the procedural map, seed, size. Levelurl overrides them :)
