Amazing tips Reggie! I’m always surprised that you don’t have way more subscribers, definitely one of the most underrated photography channels. Keep up the great work!

In-depth explanation and pro-level systematic approach! Fantastic tutorial, Reggie! More masterpiece like this please!! BTW, I just hope Fuji implements a feature in their firmware to automatically apply configurable settings(like a batch job) when switching to AF-C in-camera: Face Detection ON, 11 FPS, Wide tracking, mechanical shutter only, Track Mode(=2), Performance Boost. It will save me tons of energy every time I switch to continuous AF.

Thank you Reggie. Real life tutorials are the best. I have docus anxiety was even thinking of switching back to canon seeing how their autofocus is so much more efficient and especially moving subjescts. I jave to overshoot with fuji just to make sure i have the must haves. Love the fuji product but absolutely hate the AF. Also thank you sooo much on the topic. The aize of the single point. I have tried big and then small and eventually settled for the middle to large. Will definitely try the small point see what is my hitrate. Thank you again for a excellent channel

You sold me the video at "or you're... a dad".
Most of the time I shoot my daughter and I keep the camera in AF-C wide tracking with the focus point centered. Eye AF on. I lock the center of the frame to my target and quickly compose the scene while it's tracking at the same time. In portrait orientation the focus point is in the middle of the upper side of the frame of course. I'm glad that Fuji saves the location for different orientations.

Could you do a video on the best FOCUSING Fujifilm lenses? Not a video on which have the best optical qualities, just which ones are the best focusers (speed, accuracy, sound). Your videos are really great! Thanks!

Very good information. My cousin getting married, I’m not the photographer but I’ll use your information to practice for future gatherings. I have a XT3 with the 18-55 only.

You're doing a great job- I just got a X-T3 with the famous XF18-55 'kit' lens with stabilisation. I have been shooting for the last 2 years with a prime on the X100V so not used to zoom lenses! Can you do a video to show in very basic terms how to set the lens for different situations especially explain how it works and tracks when walking about and videoing to keep it in focus and zoom in and out? Hope you can help

Interesting that you use the 3x3 Zone AF for fast paced low light shots. Sounds like a similar scenario in sports where I might be trying to capture the action in a game versus isolating on one player. Usually I stick to single point focus, but this might be worth a try.

Hi Reggie. I've been looking for a video like this for weeks! I'm actually thinking about change my Sony A7C to a Fuji XT4 (love the fuji colours and controls), but I do low light events and use a lot the (unbelievably) afc live tracking. I know that the fuji one is not as straightforward as the sony, but it seems to work. I use it to acquire focus and recompose in the frame (in the concerts, the composition changes very fast), it's possible to do it with the xt4 and 2.8 zooms? Thank you for doing the best video for us who shoot low light events!

Hi Reggie thank you for the great content. Pretty close to the way I shoot, especially indoor cycling or tennis. Do you tweak the jpg settings, such as NR (noise reduction) and\or sharpness? Raising these values is where I got the most clean images ever. Went to NR -4 and thought really exaggerating but was the best result ever! Cheers

Im new to the fujifim x-t20, and ive learned how to customise it, and shoot manual, but im always wondering about the focus point square. If you choose the small one and point it at a subject, does that make everything outside the focus point softer or out of focus? Im not even sure how to use metering yet, but its set to multi.
