Should I make a video comparing the af speed between all the Fujifilm lenses I’ve owned and/or tried?

Okay so no hate please but I’m a Nikon shooter and took your tips and terms and applied it to my camera and wow!! The amount of keepers I’m getting now is easily 6 times more. I was too busy relying on my camera instead of taking control. You and John B are teaching me so much. I thank you Reggie B.

Dear Reggie, I recently bought my first Fujifilm XS10. I bought three lenses: 16-80, 70-300 and your favorite 16 F1.4. I would like to thank you for your informative videos. I learned a lot from them. Keep up the good work. Many thank. Mohammed, Dubai UAE.

Very detailed, very good explanation. I really feel like I know now how it would be if I was to buy this camera or a similar Fuji camera. The majority of the reviews leave you wondering how it would be to use the presented camera. Thank you again and I really really like that for everything you said how you use it, why you use it and you advised us why we might want to use something else!

I just got my 35mm 1.4 on the XS10 and I love it. Yes AF is a bit noisy but the quality is pretty damn good!

Very helpful advice Reggie. I have the X-S10 and have been experimenting with the various AF modes/areas. The problem I have is that when shooting 4K video the focusing options are more limited than when shooting photos. It seems you can only choose between Multi or Area and then AF-S or AF-C but no tracking option. I make videos of erratically moving wildlife so any ideas of what AF settings I should use for that (e.g. a swan/goose moving across water)?

Thanks again for that great roundup and sharing your experience!

AF-C drove me mad so often. So many great shots were out of focus so I rather use AF-S now. When I started digital photography with a Casio Exilim EX-S1 I never used AF-C and very seldom had focus problems.
Sometimes options make you even struggle more so back to basic unless the situation is really challenging.

Nice video Reggie. I set my AF-S/C to back button focus (AFON) and leave the focus mode in the front of the camera ALWAYS on C. This way, I can use my back button focus as AF-S by just clicking once and focusing at the subject and recomposing if needed without having to focus again since focus is locked and press the shutter button to take the pic or can also use it as AF-C simply by pressing and holding it and following my subject as it will continously focus and just press the shutter button when ready to shoot. You can also have face/eye detect on for portraits. You have the best of both worlds. I learned this technique from a Youtuber a few years ago and it has improved my focusing greatly. It does take a little while getting used to but once you do you will never go back (at least for me lol). For macro, food and product photography I change it to manual focus as i can take my time to fine tune where I want the focus to be.

Reggie, thanks for this video! I am going to rewatch this the next time I wonder what my Fuji x100v settings mean. Off topic, has anyone told you you look like Ogie Alcasid?

This was very helpful. I just got a TX5. I'm mainly going to use it for filming still objects (my action figures reviews). I find focusing in in AF-S better than AF-C. The camera was focusing more on my hands than my action figures when I was in AF-C. Anyway, this help me understand a little more. Thanks again dude.

Thank you for the fuji camera set up video. Do you have any tutorials about bird or wildlife photography?

Thank you for this video. I have the Fujifilm XT4 and I was wondering what settings you would recommend for street photography? M, S or C plus, what focus settings eg single point, zone and what about tracking and face detect? Sorry I'm just a little confused. I guess I need settings so when walking around, I see a scene, say group of people, where I want to bring the camera quickly up to the eye and take a shot without much time adjusting and potentially missing the shot. People could also be moving of course. Many thanks.
