DIY Ikea Built In Library Wall Hack | Perkins On Parkway

I flew out to Cleveland to help my talented creator friend @PeonyandHoney bring to life this built in bookshelf library wall! She is really having her main character bell moment now. It was so fun to hang out with her and do this in person. We built this wall using three Ikea Billy Bookcases and you would NEVER know that the bulk of this build is an Ikea product. Pretty nice. Only thing different I would have done was planning the top shelf to be in line with the ladder bar so it wasn’t in the middle of a shelf

Did you attach the top row you added? About to start a similar project and curious if it’s necessary if I’m going to do trim work similar to yours which I’m assuming keeps everything snug in place..?
