I’m a huge fan of “work smarter, not harder” so when I saw these IKEA bookcases… I knew I could transform them into something amazing. Could I have built them from scratch? Sure… but because the IKEA ones worked for the size I needed, why waste time and the headache of all the measuring/building?🤪

I love the contrast. You often see shiplap or horizontal boards painted white but I love the dark charcoal color you used

O my gosh! I just want to hug you. You are talented with a keen eye for needed rearrangement and decoration.
I live in an apartment, and it wouldn’t make sense for me to build that around my fireplace. But you gave me an idea to look for some discount book shelves to put on each side. ❤thanks
