Ask Me Anything And I'll Try My Best To Answer.

Here's the irony: Hollywood shows us so many exotic adventures on screen - but they're shot on a sound stage within an isolated bubble. You chose to escape that bubble and live those adventures for real. Props to you!

You didn't run from anything - you ran to your sanity - it's a rough business you're in.

I’m loving the last couple of videos, they’re so raw and personal and it’s great learning more about you Christy, can’t wait to see what the future holds for you :-)

I grew up with a Hollywood mom, my entire life it was pushed on me. I ended up having to drop all contact with her. I’m an artist/performer with absolutely no interest in the Hollywood circle, and she still keeps sending people my way. They are always very fake, pushy, and constantly trying to talk themselves up. It’s a very toxic energy and I’m so glad I never got sucked in. I can’t imagine having any self esteem after being in that world.

I believe I found this channel for a reason. So much pressure from the entertainment industry that people can sometimes lose sight of who they truly are. Thank you.

The real question is why wouldn’t you leave? There’s a lot of toxic people in the industry. I’ve had a close friend and family member leave Disney and Lionsgate...they just couldn’t stand how mean spirited people were to each other.

I love the new content! It’s so honest. It felt like having a cup of coffee with a good friend. Looking forward to more!

I remember being in highschool wondering "What happened to Ren Stevens" (as I looked up to her and used the character as a motivation for good grades). Some google searching and teen magazine-ing showed me that Christy was in college. I thought that was so cool! As I got older, I wondered more and more "What was that transition like? How is she doing? Seems like teen/kid actors from Disney struggle emotionally." Years later -- she makes this video and shares her story. So happy to hear it!

Ugh I absolutely seeing people choose themselves over career and in a healthy way. I lived in ATX 12 years and I’m currently living in Houston and austinites are very blessed to have y’all! Peace ✌🏼

It’s kinda crazy to see your mind through the whole process. I grew up with you, you’re such an icon. ♥️✌🏻🤟🏻🙏🏻

Hearing about how it took you 12 years to graduate college is so comforting you have no idea. Between working, figuring out your goals and ambitions, and going back and forth it’s not in everyone’s time frame to start college at 18 and finish right at 22. I’m 25 now and have been hard on myself for not yet finding my “passion”

Love your content ❤️

As a Texan thanks for the last bit! Lol we are a little worried not gonna lie but love that you have embraced Austin and the “vibe” and that is amazing! God is so good and don’t waste a second of your life doing or being somewhere that doesn’t bring joy!

I just left the Hollywood bubble as well. Worked in tv production for years and went back to school and did my Master's in London and realized there is sooo much more out there than what LA feeds you. Moved to Boston and have been so happy. I related to what you said about needing green spaces, and I have definitely found Boston to be so green and walkable; it's a stark contrast to LA. The people and culture seem more down to earth and genuine than what I ever got in LA. Thank you for this video, it really resonated with me!

Hollywood, and more specifically Disney, will chew you up and spit you back out, and not many young actors make it out the other side as well-adjusted, sane adults, and it's so tragic. I'm glad that you were grounded enough and had the support system you needed to make it out and save yourself. You're truly inspiring, Christy.

Your decision to quit show business kind of reminds me of Mara Wilson stepping out of the Hollywood scene. Absolutely a smart move.

A few weeks ago, I left Orange County, CA for the first time in my life. I’m 30 years old, and I’ve lived in the bubble for all 30 of those years. I feel like my life is truly free to be whatever I want it to be now. Your story is encouraging to me, because I see that it’s possible to leave the bubble and find a life worth living.

You're the best person to ever heard from and the best actor ever on Disney Channel. You as Kim Possible was the right decision for Disney to pick to do the voice of. Wish I can see you someday. May God bless you.

I love how honest, positive, and well spoken you are. It’s vulnerable to make videos like these but it makes me feel so much better hearing you talk about experiences that most people don’t understand or agree with. Keep making videos, I would love to keep hearing your perspective on things. Way to take over YouTube!
