Yay Math In Studio takes a simple look at what we can do with the operations on polynomial functions. We can add them, multiply them, raise the exponents to various powers, or even take them for walks to the store, and other fun activities like that. Don't forget to combine like terms, distribute the negative, and other important Algebra rules. Oh yeah, and YAY MATH!

Just want to give this guy a shout out for being awesome. I'm currently cramming for my Algebra 1 final tomorrow and you've been a better teacher in the last 10 hours than what my own Algebra teacher or tutors have been for the entire semester. I need an 83.7% to pass the class so wish me luck!

Just wanna ask why is it 2xy^2 not 2xy^3? Because 2x^1 * y^2 = should have a exponent of ^3 right? Since we r multiplying and we add exponents when we multiply?.?

In case you're still reading comments 5 years later: With the last one that had 8x^3 at the beginning and y^3 at the end of the solution; would you want the answer in degree form (all variables ^3 down to the constant) or leave the answer as it is and that's good enough? Many thanks.

How do you know when it's necessary to use the FOIL method? When you wrote (2x-y)(2x-y) twice at 4:02 in a circumstance similar to this, when do you know it's necessary?

Wait- but why does (2x-y)^3 FOIL into
(2x-y)(2x-y)
And not
(2x-y)(2x-y)(2x-y)?
The is ^3, not ^2

why it’s not +4xy " Question : (2X-Y)3" when you multiply -2xy by -2xy it should be +4xy not -4xy !!!!
