The Ultimate EDC Slim Wallet.

This is a DIY project to build a simple, super slim and stylish hardwood, card wallet, similar in function to the Belroy Slim, Aviator Slide or Ridge Wallet. However this premium wallet is entirely homemade in my workshop from hardwood veneer and is the perfect beginner project. It is slim enough to fit in your front pocket and strong enough to be sat on in your back pocket.

It features a minimalist EDC slim style, credit/debit card holder and money clip.

Made from luxury hardwood, it is tactile to hold, and you will constantly be asked where you got it.

Think the veneer is sapele or mahogany, to use rfid guard you could try kitchen tin foil.

Nice project! Very interesting to see thin plywood from veneers. In my experience, fabric elastic for EDC items will ultimately perish. I've taken to making bands using either inner tubes, or silicone (eg from old phone/ipad cases). Despite what the interweb says, I've always had success with superglue for that kind of silicone. Thanks for sharing! Cheers.

For the 2.0 version what if you used your layers to sandwich the elastic between the layers. This way the card woudl not gegt caught on the elastic as you add cards. I wonder if a rubber or silicone band would work longer than the elastic. the wood might end up damaging the elastic.

I note you have not employed RFID protection to prevent your card details from being scanned. This can be purched from Amazon.
