The head is harder sedimentary rock.
Curiously, there does not appear to be more like it on the plateau.
Has it been transported from elsewhere?

Just the head alone which is a separate piece joined at the neck is estimated to weigh 50, 000 tons ? So if it is 10, 000 years old ! Mr historians how the hell did they get that up there in one piece ?

why do they keep insisting it's a sphinx??
as far as i know, a sphinx has wings and there are none on this one...
i never seen anything about wings found near this statue....
so i believe its just a statue of a lion, recarved with a face.

The Ancient Egyptians were so obviously "Black" and stereotypically African in appearance, its quite sad the lengths such racist "historians" go through to deny it. The image of the Sphinx wouldn't win any beauty contest in the USA or Arab world, but they will go through great lengths to claim the peoples history, lol. Egyptians today are like Europeans in America, they do not represent the natives. The Egyptians today don't even speak Egyptian but Arabic which has no similarity to the ancient Egyptian language. Glad DNA evidence is out to further validate what is already obvious to the eye.

Isn't it strange that the very features, of the Sphinx that would visually identify the Sphinx head figure as that of a black African were chiseled away by an invading band of arabs.

It's Anubis the Dog it's clearly a dog's body the human head is much too small and misproportioned it was obviously added while the body was burried.
