It's funny that those dealers will judge you but can't afford it themselves. 🤔

INDIANS ARE ALWAYS SOFT IN TALKING, U SHOULD TRY WITH THE SAME ASIAN GUY, WHICH U HAVE TALKED WITH WHEN U WERE IN NORMAL APPEARANCE, THEN WE CAN SEE WHAT IS TRUTH

Well to be fair, you went to 2 different dealerships/ showrooms.

Maybe the staff at the first one are just assholes (or just that one employee).

You could've went there again dressed formally and vice versa to really do a proper experiment.

it might be the guy working there - the other guy seems nicer

Dumb because you should have approached the same salesman the second time also.

That employee really is customer unfriendly, as employee you NEVER ask someon "Do you even know how much that car costs!!?".... bad employee.

I don't dress formal. Once I went an Audi dealership with my go eat some rice shirt and they let me test drive R8.

There is absolutely no control in your expiriment. Only variables, Eveything changes. Not a valid science or social expiriment :/ still entertainig though.

As a car salesman I want to say I'm disgusted with how that Asian salesman handled himself. Completely disrespectful and ignorant. It's people like him that give us salesman a bad name. Respect customers and appreciate them and make them comfortable.

This would have made more sense if they pranked the same dealer.

It's the age, a young kid (dressed nice or poor) is not taken seriously compared to an older person, 30's-40's+. I work at a MB dealership this is the mentality we have because the younger kids are the ones who just wanna check out the new S550 or the G-Wagon while the older ones are just there to buy it.

I went to look at a new 2015 mustang the other day and I was smart by taking our Hummer, instead of my Ford Fusion LOL I had the salesman running all over the place! I was so happy to see people look like idiots LOL

This reminds me of a story my grandpa told me. He was a successful farmer and wanted to buy a new car. One day after he was done working, he went down to the dealership and asked to see a car. The salesman, seeing a dirt covered farmer, told him the car was sold. My grandpa asked another salesman a few days later and ended up buying the car in cash. A prime example of the saying "don't judge a book by its cover.

I think not only does the appearance matter but the car you're trading in affects the salesman's behavior as well. My personal experience: I went to a Chevy dealer dressed up in a tee and shorts asking to see the corvette Z06. I was ignored and told to wait for a guy because they were all "busy". When one finally showed up to talk to me, he didn't show the slightest effort in trying to sell me the Z06. After I mentioned I own an Audi and a Benz to trade in, his expression immediately brightened up and offered me test drives/incentives/ showed me around the car's features etc.

I don't blame the salesmen..Since they only earn the majority of their money from successful sales, they can't afford to waste time with those looking for a free drive.
