BOOSTED BILLET 13B MAZDA ROTOR RUNS 8.33 @ 167MPH

Check out this awesome Turbo Mazda running a Billet 13B as it runs a number of passes at a Private Track day with a best pass of 8.33 @ 167mph (269kmh).

My father use to own one of these and drive my brother and I around when we were little. Unfortunately my father died shortly after and the only fun memories we shared with him was in the RX-3. They’re such cool little fast cars.

Back in the 70's, I Owned a used 72 RX2 2 dr. Coupe and the Loud back Fire every time I Shifted that 4sp Trans!...Later I Bought the New 77 RX3 SP which came with a 5sp Trans!...Now that Rotary Car was well under rated IMHO!

I also had the Opportunity to Drive the 79 RX7 Sports Car while it was still a Prototype!...That made my Day, back then!...Even though I am a FORD Guy at Heart but I enjoyed my Rotary Experience to say the least!...God Bless America! 😇

Thanks to Flinty 460 for the videos. This was one of our first testing sessions for a brand new car built here in Australia.
The 8.3 was a relative time. But we were struggling with a Gforce Gearbox with incorrect ratios. And an unsorted Chassis Setup. The other times were from the car breaking the beams early with the 2 step flames which is why you test . The cars has gone on to a PB of 7.43 and has run 185MPH in a Boost Limited Class running Well Under The 40 PSI Class Limit. For a Brand New Car it has been Rewarding to chase and solve the setup Issues every time we run.
The Car Is Perth Based in Western Australia and is called The Perthorican. It is a Billet Inc 13B with a Garrett Turbo Charger and GF2000 5 Speed.

I'm a big Mopar fan. The Hemi to me is the king of the 1320. With that said If I where to pick a motor that would be the mighty Hemi's nemesis it would be the Mazda rotary engine.
