You made an 8 spike jump which means you would be going 6x speed
A speed portal gives you enough speed to jump 2 spikes more than the arrow amount (apart from slow speed)
1x speed 3 spikes
2x speed 4 spikes
3x speed 5 spikes
4x speed 6 spikes
a true 5x speed portal should only allow you to jump 7 spikes and a 6x speed portal should allow you to jump 8 spikes like what we see here
