Piper was difficult to deal with and he was on all kinds of drugs but he’s so beloved and gets away with it. The dude was in business with himself

Losing ABSOLUTELY matters, for a certain character 1 loss is enough to bring them down multiple levels. For others it doesn't hurt. Scott Hall could lose to anyone and still be over. When Goldberg lost to Nash he lost half his gimmick(and it went to someone that lost in a charade a few weeks later)

I feel like this is an argument where both sides can be right. Losing can absolutely matter depending on who you are and who your opponent is. Roddy had that type of character that could easily have been relegated to pure comedy and become completely forgotten if he lost too much. Giving him those wins kept him interesting.

I agree 100 thousand percent with piper losses do hurt you and would hurt your career if you lose to a certain guy fans ain’t gonna want to see it again cuz they know you already lost

Macho Man lost several times and still remained one of the absolute best for decades. Hogan, Warrior, Goldberg on the other hand get heat from dumb fans for not losing very often. Bruce is right on this one.

Roddy Piper “lost clean” to Bret Hart at Wrestlemania 8.

He’s the exception like that’s his gimmick he’s not a big guy but he’s got a big mouth and he will fight tooth and nail and scrap to do whatever to win or at least not be pinned or quit

Piper played politics the right way by not making his opponents look bad. When Piper finally lost to Snuka and Hart, it meant something.

I feel like piper was before my time. I'm 35. I was never really into him or his matches
