Thank you for the great tips and I wonder if I can ask for a quick advice. Taping a singer strumming on non amplified acoustic guitar. Zoom F3 recorder and a pair of your 040 mics. My thought is to record mono, one mic on singer, another on guitar to get two files I can combine and “mix” on my vid editor. Setting vol inputs in the middle. I am a complete noob. Thanks!

Why not use a cardioid pattern. Would that not reject everything but what is directly in front?

Hi there. Was this recorded in a treated room? Asking because when I've tried to use a condensers in Figure 8 at home I've had no luck - untreated bedroom is just too reflective and hypercardioid has been a better option

Is it good combination - LCT 140 AIR for guitar and LCT 441 Flex for vocal for separate recording at the same time?

Marvelous as always LEWITT! I keep asking this question, but so far nobody seems to answer... why two figure 8 patterns? wouldn't two cardioid facing the same as these work as well or better?? Also, don't the figure 8 pick up from the back too, so picking up the room (be it well treated or badly)...
