Fantastic... my photo App has been driving me nuts for a month or so now, it seemed to stop working after the sept 2019 update.
My main issue was that the magic wand ( ? ) feature wasn't working. I followed these steps using the first command and all seems to be working well once more. (for now at least!) Thank you!! :-)

Hi again thanks for your response 👍 fetched photos off my camera and put on my laptop! When I opened up to view the picture icons
There is a blue box with 2 chevrons in the left hand side of the picture icon taking about 25% of the picture looked on the web only to see
Something about backup status indicators ! Have you come across this ? And maybe have a fix you could put on line to help other people
As I can see your very helpful cheers bob

I have problem with scrolling, like you can't view the next image by scrolling, clicking next button (because there isn't any) or tapping Left/Right arrow on the keyboard.

I went thru all methods given even the more advanced. The issue for me was some images would show in gallery some would not and after trying all the so called fixes that did not work. I went back to the gallery, double clicked on one image and every image listed then opened . Why this happened I dont know. At least now its fixed on mine. I do have windows 10.

Hello, I want to transfer photos from my camera to my computer. My computer registers the camera device and finds all of the photos but it does not prompt to the next step where I can select the photos that I want to import.
The message I get says...photos not responding. It was working fine this morning but not working now. Do I follow the same steps as your videos or is there something else I need to do? Thanks
