I wish I made $3200 and only paid $350.00 rent, I would live like a freaking KING.

Clothing should NOT be a category. 15K in credit cards I imagine some of that as clothes. If her closet is practically full, I'd sell those on Poshmark and keep what is worn to work daily. only buy shoes when needed etc.

My 2 cents!!! Helping out her parents is a blessing for both. $650 a month for rent and utilities is not bad at all.

Great Video Dave. Thanks for all that you do. I've paid off $42, 000 so far following your methods. On pace to be debt free by December 2017.

$650 is not expensive. Theres almost nowhere where I live that is $650 unless you want to live in a run down studio in a bad neighborhood. No thanks! id rather pay $650 to my parents in a nice house & better neighborhood.

I have watched a lot of Dave's videos, but this is definitely off the mark. Paying $650 a month for rent is not the problem; in fact, it was the only thing that was not a problem! Things could have gone far worse if she rented elsewhere. Her main problem is the credit card debt, which goes hand-in-hand with discipline and spending problems. I paid a higher rent with a slightly higher monthly income, but still manage to save over $1, 500 a month, on top of contributing to both retirement and voluntary retirement plans.

$650 for rent is high? Sometimes I wish I lived in this magical word Dave does. Most places, especially big cities these days, you're lucky if you can find a 1BR under $1000 even miles from the city.

I don't know about you guys, but making her pay her father's insurance is kind of taking advantage of her, specially considering her situation. I'm all about her paying rent, but come on...

Did Dave just say $650 a month is expensive to live with roommates?
Lol in California you’ll be lucky to have a room with a shared bathroom and kitchen with 4 people for $900+

"It's about ____" " I wanna say", "I'm not sure" - Why do they call when they don't know answers to the questions Dave asks EVERY TIME?

Some people spend on things they don't need just to impress people who care less.

I know this is a year old episode, but paying ~$600 for rent is a good deal in Miami. Finding a place for that amount is impossible, even if you moved out and found a roommate. Aside from being a Hispanic cultural thing (living with parents until they get married), it's not feasible for recent grads to move out unfortunately in that city. This is from someone who lives there.
