it can be both, (more than likely is both) there’s a strong link that ADHD kids experience traumatic events in their childhood as parents increasingly get more frustrated, they also become subject of bullying and teasing at school because they are the ‘weirdos’ or because ADHD kids tend to be overweight (sweets are a dopamine source, it’s like crack for neurotypicals). Many ADHD kids grow up in dysfunctional and violent households and there’s a link that high levels of cortisol during pregnancy affects the development of the baby’s brain, also a mother who smoke during pregnancy.

My high functioning autism is definitely linked to my childhood trauma.

I'm no Doctor but I have been thinking and saying this for so long! But I do. Believe I have both staring at me!

So Doctor how do we get hooked up with this therapy? I'm in Oklahoma btw. Thanks in advance.
