Linda Moulton Howe: Large Petroglyphs in Northern Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan is the ninth largest country in the world, larger than Western Europe, and extends from the Caspian Sea on the west to Mongolia on the east; from Russia in the north to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and China in the south. Kazakhstan was the second largest republic in Russia until the 1991 collapse of the U.S.S.R.

Kazakhstan has been inhabited for a long time and it is thought those people were the first humans to domesticate and ride horses. In fact, the name, Kazakhstan, is from an old Turkic word that meant “independent, a free spirit.”

Wikipedia - The Turkic peoples are a collection of ethnic groups that live in northern, eastern, central, and western Asia, northwestern China, and parts of eastern Europe and are part of the Turkic/Altaic language family.

Now in 2015, NASA has taken interest in photographing from the International Space Station unusual and very large geoglyphs discovered in the southern Kostanay region and Turgay steppes of northern Kazakhstan. More and more of the unique and mysterious geoglyphs keep being discovered and the number is now over 200. Their ages are between 3,000 and 7000 years or older and they can only be viewed from high in the air.

Hello Linda, First off, I Thank You for all you do for Truth! Some of these petroglyphs remind me of some of the symbols found on space craft. Like the circle with the 6 triangles with the dot in the centers. I live in PA about 10 miles from the Susquehanna river, which has a huge about of petroglyphs. Such things totally span the entire globe. Nazca lines, for example. You cannot appreciate them ..let alone DECIPHER them..or even SEE them unless you are in the AIR over top of it! It blows my mind! I mean, Ancient Aliens has introduced me to so many awesome and brilliant human beings! I remember reading 'somewhere' about mounds in southern Africa that go back several thousand years ago in origin. The jist of the premise was these were some sort of energy domes that worked on a terra energy that could be harnessed and dispersed through what were these mounds. Their were no structures left just the round shaped foundations that are similar to these.

When I see these and others like them I can't help but think of someone trying to send a s.o.s to someone from extremely far away. Considering they were built near the end of an ice age, maybe their origins are from survivors of a cataclysmic event trying to make someone aware that intelligent life has truly survived. I know if I was stranded on a devastated volcanic island I'd make some kind of s.o.s for planes or telescopes to see.
