My parents are only 71 and so unwell. The worst part is, they get in their own way. Mindset is so important. Skydiving at 82 is beautiful! What I would give for my folks to be better. To help and believe in themselves. Your grannie is a treasure! ❤

Always interesting to hear the perspectives of elder folk, especially in our rapidly changing world. She dropped some real pearls in that one.

It's sad that her companion is dealing with health issues, but I'm glad she has him in her life! So many seniors are alone. My 95-year-old Dad is among them. He longs for "the good old days" when my mom was living.

Happy Birthday Grammie! My dad shared the same birthday …years apart (1922)…….What a rational and insightful lady. I never had a relationship with any of my grandparents…all but one had passed by the time I was born and the one I had didn’t live very close. You are very lucky to have her.
