That would be more than enough if you pay for your house up front, pay off your debts, and only have to worry about utilities.

I would say dump personal assets that represent liabilities before you even claim it, such as any properties that you own that you don't plan on keeping. Move to another area, but if you plan on living in the same area, rent a house under another person's name until you decide where you are going.

bad advice at the start, If you win the main prize DO NOT SIGN THE TICKET. Put it in a safe deposit box. Get a lawyer, tax professional, estate planner. Create a trust or an LLC to claim the prize, so you can remain anonymous and limit your tax liability in the future.
