Silica is a crossover of FPS and RTS where up to 3 factions battle for control over the planet of Baltarus. Lead from above as commander, or experience the action first-hand, either alone, or with friends. Join one of two human armies, or hunt them down as the territorial aliens.

HELL Yer! one thing that always makes me smile is when you can blow up or shoot down various critters you didn't expect had any form off hit detection xD
the small things is what makes me smile;
*generation zero; you can shoot down the birds from the sky and it looks good; was very excited first time hehe and always gives a smile.
*killing floor 2; when you reload a fully loaded weapon it play one off multiple check ammo idle animations(only activates when it doesnt interfere with other anim) it's my "instead off bunny jumping all the time" favorid thing :P
*searching some random cave far away from everything and actually finding something being there to see.
*hearing my wife telling me about all the random but awesome aion lore hidden around the game.
*the smooth feel in anthem from flying around, and the cool feeling off bombarding the ground with large lightning like a God :D
*the hidden mechanics off "no oneshot" in dust: an elysium tale (if you haven't taken dmg for x seconds and over think its 5% hp, you will go down to 1% minimum on the first hit and need a second hit; this made the game super enjoyable and playerble on hardest difficulty while keeping a high challenge and entertainment off such lvl. just such a smart small thing.
*hidden soft auto aims; star conflict has a soft auto aim effect; allowing you to hit those near impossible shots and to have a large mergin for aiming errors. which works very well for the theme and setup (its not a lot just so much that i at some point started feeling "something is helping my aim.. hmm.. nice" :D
*the simplicity and extremely effective setup off something like lichdoms magic casting usage; it just makes you smile when you get the hang off it, and its so impactfull feeling and looking, its just a small joy )
*blacklight: retribution. i dont know what it was about it, but it just felt very good, especially the mech and weapons etc. felt really good.


sry was rambling off as i enjoyed your game a lot and really looking forward to the RTS AI additions
(i think for pathing issues, let Zerg burrow when stuck, letting them travel through the terrain and emmerge on the other side; could be a cool themetic as well; and let marines be teleported back by the commander voice to the next available factory; as marines got awesome teleport technology it's a cool way to use it;
also in this way getting stuck, yourself included, is part off the gameplay with a decent and fast solution which doesnt require a lot from the pathing and ai ^^


it's the small details that stick with me and make me want it more :D

could be cool if wildlife showed on raders and was hard to distinction if it's friend or foe, humans could use drones etc. to check, aliens could use their instinct hunting vision to see the danger lvl; humans could also just slaughter everything and aliens could kill, eat, evolve into something bigger and stronger (kinda a mini version off the "evolve stage 2" game for the aliens while they wait for bigger things to come ;D

it could be so cool if the alien AI laid a lot off ambush when you moved your units around, as in they would burrow themselves, crawl up cliffs and camoflage themselves on walls; within a reasonable distance and then spring effective and fast ambushes ; it could be so cool; and would be soo zergling and awesome marine defence, if you could created gameplay where marines escorts something over roads they made etc. and suddenly the road just collapses from a goliath laying in wait as the center off a big trap; 20 crabs unburrow all around and under and between them, 3 lightning tails fires from camoflaged wallcrawlers, while flyers starts swarming in 4 at a time and then something like a scorpion starts firing devastating shots (or the giant destruction eye flyers retargets their devastating artillary ranged laser beams, vaporishing everything within its beam, friend and foe.

it would be so damn cool, but can only happen if a lot off it is automated else the micro becomes too large too fast ^^
