Nissan Patrol is a big old beast of a thing.
It went in for a facelift, and came out looking a little less frumpy. The look is somewhat polarising. There are some who love it and others who don’t. The look grew on me the more I lived with it.

What updates does the 2020 Nissan Patrol get?

I honestly don’t get how people do reviews and put extra large male in the third row backseats designed for kids and complain about the space omg it’s it a bit squishy back there Who knew.

If you complaining about leg rooms in the patrol. Then forget the landcruiser because patrol is bigger in any dimensions. Is that bias. You don't even know it got 5.6 v8 not 5.8 v8. Everyone paid mid 80k for ti l not 102k.

The Y62 is huge, I’ve not heard people complaining about the interior space or acceleration before...Sure it’s not a minibus or Nissan GTR, but has ample towing power & is a serious off-road vehicle.
My only complaint is the fuel consumption (towing) & lack of after market parts (upgrades) in comparison to Toyota.
The idea is to buy a used one with 60-70, 000 kms on the clock, modify the rear suspension, wheels, slight lift kit & you can tow all your toys to the batch/beach, camping & 4x4 fun!

Equivalent Landcruiser with Patrol TiL features would cost you around $135k. You would only get the GXL for $102k.

115, 000km and I need a new timing chain in my Y62 Ti-L. Paint peels off in large flakes. Well done Nissan. Still building rubbish.

I have a problem justifying the use of three tonnes of machinery to move the average mum & two kids to school. Let's face it, no one with any sense of style would ever buy such a barge.
