I have got this 5 series patrol. It is unbelievable to drive, and almost embarrasses anything else offroad. So effortless and very comfortable with the suspension. It does love the fuel! I would say it is at least 17 litres per 100km city driving. On long drives, the range is good. Overall, best thing i did was buy this car.

Really liked the look. Was VERY close to buying one, then i saw the interior at a dealership. Had a laugh and walked away. What a joke.

2020 exterior with 2010 interior.
Also the Ti-L gets a low hanging front bumper that Nissan calls "city bumper" which decreases the approach angle.
Go home Nissan, you're drunk.

Just sold my 2016 model. Reliable and build quality is excellent, if only they had updated the interior and tech, I’d probably have got another, saying that its capable and craps all over the 200

What bonehead thought it would be a good idea not to provide the new interior to the AU market. I won’t buy it, simply because of that!

A few people at a couple of nissan dealers have said that australia will get the updated interior late 2020 or early 2021. Also some rumors are saying that patrol next generation (most likely Y63) will be released in 3 years, (but that is something to been seen). I hope they make the patrol a little bigger, for 3rd row and boot, and not smaller like toyota done on LC300.

I think Nissan live under a rock we have internet here in Australia and can see what the rest of the world get. So will treat you as second choice as that is how you treat us here.

Let's be honest if im buying a patrol im buying it for what it's built for, off road if you need massive entertainment systems to satisfy your needs then buy a car.

It’s a deal breaker until the interior is updated to match the rest of the world.

I'm driving the 2021 Armada as a rental at the moment and done 1000miles in it from new. Drove it pretty hard first couple of weeks and saw 28L/100 and havent seen anything south of 20L/100 being kinder to it.
Infotainment feels like you need a Ph.D to work it out initially as the inputs are sometimes unresponsive because the logic of the system.
Overall interior is nice and comfortable to do a days sight seeing in.

Love the external look ..Interior is a bit of a let down imo

Car importers always import discontinued, obsolete, outmoded cars to Australia for higher profit margin. Compact cassette player is optional extra.

In Canada these are called the Armada and we generally only buy 692.1 units (10 year average) per year. Great vehicle though.

Great review !!! The Nissan Patrol sells only in the Gulf. Petrol is 20 cents in Kuwait and Saudi, so mileage ??, Whats that ?? $ 1.70 a litre in Australia. These big SUV are just too expensive in Australia. I lived in Kuwait and water is pricier than petrol. Stick with the Pajero Sports or Fortuner. They are affordable and up the job and COMPETANT

Is that the front adaptive cruise radar mounted low in the bumper? It looks like it would get smashed on the first off-road trip...

So... What is the likelihood we'll see the updated interior here?
The value proposition right now decreases significantly if it does come...
